I have a new mantra to share with you all today! It's pretty simple and is called the Universal Frienship Invocation, ooooooh! Here ya go,
Om Mitraya Namaha - Pronounced om mi -(i like hit) trae-ya nom-a-ha
In breaking it down we have our two regulars, Om for connecting to the Universal and nomaha for bowing to or invoking. I looked up mitraya and all I could find is maitreya which means benevolent & friendly. Interesting. Perhaps a misspelling? Or maybe just a variation. I like that this isn't so much saying, "I hope they like me" or "Universe make me cool!" Instead, we're saying help my to be friendly, well meaning, kind. Maybe this mantra strengthens the part of our brain that inspires us to act benevolently. Then our friendly actions and words results in Universal friends, cool! Though I think this mantra can be useful when dealing with difficult persons as well. "Please Universe help this customer to see that I am well meaning and help me to be kind...even though she's crazy. Om mitraya Namaha." Or in traffic when people cut you off you could shout it at them instead of absenities! The possibilities are endless! Enjoy!
Namaste!
