Namaste and Welcome!
My name is Christiana and I am a yoga teacher and a student of life. I have this desire to share the ramblings inside my head with the people of the world. Not because I think I'm crazy special or anything but because I enjoy sharing my thoughts, and I figured the more I share the better I'll get at shareing and the better I get at sharing the more you benefit..right?
I'll be honest. Really, the purpose of this blog is more self-ish than that. I am hoping that by writing and readying about yoga I will achieve, or at least move closer to, samadhi समाधि - absorption, complete integration. I am hoping that by using this medium I am able to make my thoughts more concrete, specific, and I beleive there will be positive consequences if I keep up with it. I just want to get everything out in the open right off the bat, ya know?
Keeping with that trend I'll explain the name. Namaste नमस्ते is a sanskrit word the roughly translates to "The divine in me honors the divine in you." Nama means to bow to, respect, honor and te means they, you, we. Different people translate namaste a little differntly but that's the jist. Namas-Day is my way of bowing to, honoring the day. It's about allowing myself to think thoughtfully and spiritually everyday on whatever my meditaion leads me to think about and then share it with you fine people. Cause you keep me honest..it's true.
